The Assessment and Evaluation Department's mission is to raise student achievement for all students while simultaneously closing all identifiable achievement gaps by providing timely and accurate data about student performance on district, state and federal assessments.

The Assessment and Evaluation Department also provides support for and is responsible for district, state and federally mandated assessments. STAR -(California Standards Test (CST), California Modified Assessment (CMA), California Alternative Performance Assessment (CAPA), Standards Test in Spanish(STS), Grade 7 Writing Test and Early Assessment Program (EAP)), California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE), Physical Fitness Testing (PFT/FITNESSGRAM), Advanced Placement (AP), and National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) assessments are administered from this office.
