The Assessment and Evaluation Department's mission is to raise student achievement for all students while simultaneously closing all identifiable achievement gaps by providing timely and accurate data about student performance on district, state and federal assessments.

The Assessment and Evaluation Department also provides support for and is responsible for district, state and federally mandated assessments. STAR -(California Standards Test (CST), California Modified Assessment (CMA), California Alternative Performance Assessment (CAPA), Standards Test in Spanish(STS), and Grade 7 Writing Test) CAHSEE, FITNESSGRAM (Physical Fitness Testing), Early Assessment Program (EAP), and National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) assessments are administered from this office. Information regarding current and future benchmark and end-of-course assessments can also be found here.
