Group Announcements 2008-09 Academic Performance Index Report Information Guide AvailableThe California Department of Education has provided a new information guide for the 2008-09 Academic Performance Index (API). The guide provides clear explanations about a variety of topics associated with API, including, how the API is calculated and used, the difference between Base API and Growth API, and test weights. This is an excellent reference in understanding California's Academic Performance Index and reports. 2003-2008 CST Released Test Questions AvailableThe California Department of Education has updated the CST Released Test Questions availble to the public. Permission is granted in advance for reproduction of these resources for educational purposes. The content must remain unchanged and in its entirety as published by the California Department of Education (CDE). The CST Released Test Questions are available in the CST Released Test Questions information folder found in the section titled Group files. 2009 STAR Tracking Forms AvailableThe California Department of Education has provided tracking documents for students who are absent or have a medical emergency during STAR testing. Tracking forms for absent students are grade level specific. The 2009 Student Tracking forms are available in the STAR Coordinator information folder found in the section titled Group files.
2009 STAR Item and Estimated Time Chart AvailableThis document provides the time needed for all STAR assessments. The item and time chart is a good planning tool to set your school site STAR testing schedule. Although the STAR tests are not timed tests, these charts will give good approximations of how long most students will need to complete the tests. The 2009 Time Chart is available in the STAR Coordinator information folder found in the section titled Group files.
2009 Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Training WebsiteThe California Department of Education and the San Joaquin County Office of Education has produced a web site to support the training of teachers who will administer the PFT. The web site provides web videos, PowerPoint presentations, chart and a variety of tools teachers, parents and student can use to obtain the best student results. 2009 STAR Directions for AdministrationThe California Department of Education has released the Directions for Administration (DFA) for 2009 STAR tests. All available DFAs are available in the STAR Coordinator information folder found in the section titled Group files.
2009 Matrix of Testing Variations, Accommodations and ModificationsThe California Department of Education released a revised 2009 Matrix of Testing Variations, Accommodations and Modifications. The 2009 Matrix of Testing Variations, Accommodations and Modifications addresses CST, CMA, STS, CAHSEE, CELDT and PFT assessments for all students with and without an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). A 2009 Matrix of Test Variations for Statewide Assessments for English Learners is also provided. The Matrix is available in the STAR Coordinator information folder found in the section titled Group Files.
2009 CAPA Manipulatives List for all Chino Valley Unified SchoolsChino Valley Unified School District has been assigned Version 8 for the CAPA. STAR test coordinators and CAPA trained teachers should download the manipulatives list. Each school site should start building their CAPA manipulative resource bins immediately. The CAPA Manipulative list can be found in the CAPA folder and in the STAR Coordinator information folder found in the section titled Group Files.
2008-2009 CAHSEE Mathematics and English Language Arts Study Guides AvailableThe California Department of Education produced two study guides to help prepare students for the California High School Exit Examination. The mathematics and English Language Arts CAHSEE study guides are available to student, parents and teachers to download and print. 2008-2009 CAHSEE Mathematics and English Language Arts Released Test Questions AvailableThe California Department of Education released an enhanced set of previously used CAHSEE test question for the mathematics and English language arts portions of the exit examination. Students, parents and teachers should download the released questions and use the questions to prepare for the California High School Exit examination. 2009 STAR Test Security Agrement Form Available - Site Test CoordinatorsAll school site STAR Testing Coodinators must sign a 2009 STAR Test Security Agreement. STAR security agreement form is available in the STAR Coordinator information folder found in the section titled Group Files. STAR Testing Coordinators must send a signed 2009 STAR Test Security Agreement form to CVUSD Assessment and Evaluation Office no later than March 1, 2009.
2009 STAR Test Security Affidavit Form Available - All StaffAll school district personnel who have access to STAR testing materials must sign a 2009 STAR Security Affidavit. STAR security forms are available in the STAR Coordinator information folder found in the section titled Group Files. Principals are required to maintain a school site file of signed STAR Security Affidavits for all of their school staff. STAR Testing Coordinators must send a signed STAR Coordinator Security Affidavit on file in the CVUSD Assessment and Evaluation Office.
No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Annual Measurable Objective TargetsNo Child Left Behind (NCLB) Annual Measurable Objective Targets are identified in these three (3) documents, Elementary and Junior High Schools, High Schools, and District. Targets extend through 2014 when all students grades 2- 11 shall be proficient in English Language Arts and Mathematics.
